Try it boiled with salt and butter or in a salad. You can find it on the salads page.

Designed by Henry Cummings in 1884 , it picks up and opens the paper packet, put in an accurately measured scoop of seed,
glues the flap, folds it over and stacks them neatly in a wooden tray.
Originally steam powered, ours are now run by an electric motor, & here’s a video of one in action!

But to pack larger numbers of paper envelopes we have purchased two of the last existing Ballard-Brown seed packing machines.

This is a great cucumber. We like our cucumbers small and tasty – Iranian style – and Merlin fits the bill perfectly. A good strong growing plant that produced dozens of delicious cucumbers. Our three plants gave us cucumbers for 3 months and in mid September they are still producing. Top class variety that I can fully recommend and will be growing again next year.
