Also, autoflower plants are small—perfect for closet grows or any small grow, or growing outdoors where you don’t want your neighbors to see what you’re up to.
Make sure the area the seeds are in is warm, somewhere between 70-85°F.
If cannabis is legal in your state, you can buy seeds or clones from a local dispensary, or online through various seed banks.
You can also minimize headaches and avoid the hassle of seed germination and sexing plants by starting with clones.
A seed has germinated once the seed splits and a single sprout appears. The sprout is the taproot, which will become the main stem of the plant, and seeing it is a sign of successful germination.
Paper towel method
If you’re growing autoflowering cannabis strains, you should transplant the seeds into their final containers. This assures that the plants have enough space to properly develop their root system and, as a result, increases the yield and overall quality of your plants.
About George Seeds
The Vault Cannabis Seeds Store sell cannabis seeds as adult souvenirs, germination or cultivation of cannabis seeds is illegal in most countries including the UK. This guide is only for reference and educational purposes. We reserve the right to refuse to sell cannabis seeds to anyone we believe may intend to germinate in country where it is illegal to do so.
Some growers like to ‘winterize’ the seeds before they start with the germination. Winterization is a process that happens naturally outdoors – as plants mature and they develop seeds that will enable the next generation to grow, they tend to fall off the dying plant and as winter comes, they are covered in snow and in low temperatures during the winter before starting a new life cycle in the spring. So to mimic that behavior, growers expose seeds to lower temperatures, usually putting them in the fridge for a couple of days prior to germination. It helps activate the hormones and enzymes that signal the plant that time for a nice start is coming.

The optimum germination was obtained as the immature seeds were collected at 6 weeks after pollination and sow on modified Harvais medium.
Modified Harvais medium supplemented with potato or banana homogenates was suitable for the growth of seedlings.
The histological and histochemical changes during seed development of C. macranthos were investigated in detail.
The accumulated hydrophobic materials, such as phenolic compounds in seed coats, contribute to the water-repellent nature.
Cypripedium macranthos is a lady's slipper orchid with high horticultural value. We document a reproducible protocol for asymbiotic seed germination based on a defined time frame. The optimum germination percentage was obtained from immature seeds collected at 6 weeks after pollination (WAP). At this time, the embryo reached the early globular stage. As seeds matured, the germination percentage declined sharply. Histological observation revealed that two distinct layers of seed coats enveloped the embryos tightly at maturity. The histochemical staining by Nile red and TBO indicated the presence of hydrophobic substance and phenolic compounds (e.g. lignin and cuticular material) in the seed coats. These features reflected the strong hydrophobic nature of seed coat that may cause the seed dormancy. Among the surveyed media, the modified Harvais medium was the optimum for germination. Among the surveyed organic supplements, potato homogenate (50 g l −1 ) or banana homogenate (25 or 50 g l −1 ) was suitable for the growth of seedlings.
