dutch passion marijuana seeds

Growing feminized seeds is often experienced as easier since you don’t have to recognize and remove male plants. This makes them a very good alternative for those who want to make the growing process easier. Instead of feminized seeds, regular seeds will produce both female and male plants. They are mainly bought by more experienced and traditional enthusiasts, who prefer natural Cannabis seeds. These are unprocessed and pure nature. Besides that, you will need regular seeds to develop new strains. For new strains, you have to cross regular seeds with feminized seeds. The biggest difference between feminized and regular seeds is the sex of the plant, by growing regular seeds you have to pay attention to light duration (if they get enough light) and you’ll have to recognize and split the male plants from the female plants.

Dutch Passion Cannabis seeds are produced and selected very carefully. They offer high quality strains at all times and this has not gone unnoticed. Dutch Passion has received multiple Cannabis Cups and some seeds have even become popular worldwide. The strains of Dutch Passion that became a worldwide hit are: White Widow, Blueberry, Skunk 11, Power Plant and Mazar. A lot of other (smaller) seedbanks use genetics from Dutch Passion seeds to develop new strains. Dutch Passion’s entire range (that is sold by Amsterdam Seed Center) includes both Regular and Feminized seeds. Besides these two, they also developed autoflowering varieties.

Dutch Passion is one of the first Dutch companies in the seed market. In 1970, Dutch Passion started developing Cannabis seeds. But in 1987 they were officially pronounced as seedbank. Throughout the years, the company gained a lot of experience in developing, producing and selling Cannabis seeds. This led to seeds of an incredibly good quality. This is exactly the reason that we have added Dutch Passion seeds to our offerings.

Feminized seeds vs. Regular seeds

Besides feminized and regular seeds, Amsterdam Seed Center also offers you autoflowering strains from the brand ‘Dutch Passion’. The most important characteristic of autoflowering seeds is the growing process. They are going to flower after a certain age. Most of the time, this is within 2-4 weeks They do not rely on light. Autoflowering seeds are from the strain ‘’Ruderalis’’ and are almost resistant to pests, cold and mold. Remarkable about autoflowering plants is their size. They are smaller, which makes them more unnoticeable. Even though this strain does not rely on light, more buds will grow if it does get enough light.

Amsterdam Seed Center is one of the most reliable partners in Cannabis seeds. In 2011 the company was founded in Amsterdam. Our goal is to only offer the best Cannabis seeds (and other products, such as vaporizers) of the world. We offer seeds from larger seedbanks (Dutch Passion for example), but we also offer seeds that are developed by smaller and more unknown seedbanks. Now we offer more than 1500 strains, so it will be guaranteed that you will find a strain that matches your wishes. Would you like to receive reliable advice in person? Dutch Passion grow from their own gene bank of original genetics collected decades ago, These days, many newer seed banks simply regurgitate existing varieties/genetics and put a new name on them. Dutch Passion are both proud and fortunate to have their own legendary varieties from the 1980’s and plenty of old original seeds to use for future projects.

In the 1970’s, Dutch Passion’s founder, Henk van Dalen, began collecting and breeding with cannabis seeds which he found in the early Dutch cannabis imports arriving from all over the world. He realised that it was possible to grow your own cannabis and often it was far superior to the often poor-quality, heavily seeded, imported product.

In 1987, the Dutch Passion Seed Company was formally established. 10 years later, they became the first seed bank to learn how to make feminized seeds, something that many people at the time said was impossible with cannabis. Ever since then, Dutch Passion have been busy trying to create the best cannabis seeds and trying to keep up with customer interest in other varieties of seeds such as autoflowering and CBD-rich etc.

Some of his best varieties were selectively crossed and bred and he soom realised that many people would prefer to grow their own cannabis from seed rather than buy it on the streets.

Crowned Best Seed bank at Spannabis 2014, Dutch Passion are well known for their sophistication and quality. The Dutch Passion breeders concern themselves with creating and preserving quality, and their varieties have won many prizes in cannabis cup competitions.

Important. Avoid pulling the seed casing away from the seedling (especially new growers), you can damage the seedling. Its always better to wait until the seed case dries out and falls off naturally. Ripping the seed casing away from the first set of baby leaves (cotyledon) too early damages the young seedling and can kill it.

The best cannabis seeds can be expensive, so it pays to have a good germination method. Here are three different, but fully proven, methods which will give you consistently good germination rates (assuming the cannabis seed was of good quality of course)

Many growers have used soil for years. Germinating your cannabis seeds in soil is easy enough with a few simple rules. The germination guide explains soil preparation. It explains how to place the seed in the soil and advises on watering, temperatures etc. If you want to germinate and grow your seeds in soil then this is the guide for you.

How to germinate cannabis seeds in soil?

Using the same make-up cotton pads available in any pharmacy or drug store you can germinate your cannabis seeds easily. The method shows how you can germinate marijuana seeds between two damp cotton pads and then leave these pads on a dish covered in transparent kitchen film.

The three detailed marijuana seed germination guides detail the use of cotton pads and RootIt Cubes, as well as traditional soil germination of cannabis seeds. The seed germination guides are equally valid for feminized seeds, autoflower seeds, regular seeds, CBD seeds, outdoor cannabis seeds or any other type of cannabis seed.

RooIt Cubes, along with many similar germination cubes, all use a moisture retaining material to geminate your cannabis seeds. Often this is a synthetic brown foam polymer, but glass wool and coco fibre have been used. The guide explains how the germination cubes are prepared and kept moist, as well as showing how to place the cannabis seed inside. RootIt Cubes and similar products are widely available online and in grow shops, they are a convenient and easy way to germinate weed seeds. If you are planning to germinate your cannabis seeds with germination cubes then this guide is for you.

Each grower will have their own preferred germination method, these methods are our suggestions based on many years of customer feedback from Dutch Passion customers. Good luck!
